v0.4.0 — helmora 0.4.0
Published October 8, 2026.
- **Both installers are signed.** The macOS installer is now signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without the Open Anyway steps. If you reinstall on a Mac where helmora had Full Disk Access, you may need to turn it on again in System Settings.
- **Computers stay connected past the hour.** A connected computer no longer drops offline for a moment every hour.
- **A computer outside your plan says so.** On the Free plan, a computer the plan doesn’t include now shows “Not included in Free”, greyed out, with a link to upgrade or choose which computer to use, instead of “offline”.
- **Codex skills from the composer.** In a Codex chat, type `$` to pick one of Codex’s skills, as in Codex itself.
- **Codex and Copilot work more like their own apps.** Copilot’s Interactive, Plan and Autopilot modes are separate from its tool permissions, and a message sent while it works steers it right away. Both show the agents they start and what those agents do, and you can open one’s transcript, even after a reload.
- **Suggested tasks say whether they will start on their own.** With auto-start on, a suggestion shows whether it starts when the reply ends or is waiting for you, and why. The setting now also applies to prompts sent from your other devices.
- **Add agent has a way back.** On desktop, Add agent opens in the sidebar, with Back to chats at the top.
- **More pull requests show up in their chat.** A pull request an agent opens with `gh -R owner/repo pr create` now appears in the chat’s pull request panel.
- **Background tabs behave better.** A chat streaming in a hidden browser tab no longer builds up memory, and a pane tab that kept working shows its newest reply in the right place when you return.
