v0.10.0 — helmora 0.10.0
Published October 18, 2026.
- **Add a device starts with how to add it.** The Device step asks whether to install Helmora or connect a device that already runs it, and keeps the system picker under Install. On a Mac that already runs Helmora, the page finds it and connects it to your account itself, with no code to type. Each step has its own address, so Back, Forward and a reload land where you were.
- **The menu bar app can disconnect the whole device.** Disconnect stops every Helmora connection on the device and keeps its accounts signed in; Connect starts them again. Signing out of one account, or of the device, moved under Accounts, which lists the accounts the device is signed in to.
- **Uninstall asks about your data.** The uninstaller asks whether to delete Helmora’s data, keeps it by default, and says what a Delete left behind.
- **Several Codex accounts on one agent.** One Codex agent holds every Codex account, another account signs in with a home of its own, the chat’s account chip lists them, and Usage shows a row per Codex account. Add agent can sign Codex in before the device has a Codex agent.
- **Claude accounts.** Sign in another Claude account from the account row. Cancel drops a sign-in in progress and Start again replaces a used-up one. Sign in shows only in the chats of the account that is signed out and names it, and a check that times out keeps the last answer instead of hiding Sign in.
- **Usage says when each window resets,** and the page lists only your accounts.
- **Model and effort changes while a turn runs.** In Claude Code an effort change now reaches the running turn, and a model change is confirmed by the response that follows it: the pill reads Not applied when another model answered. On a phone, a pill’s status sits under its label instead of cutting the other pills short.
- **Worktree chats sit under their repository.** A chat running in a linked worktree lists under its repository’s row, All chats counts and phone search include it, and each provider now makes a chat’s worktree in its own layout. A Codex worktree chat can create a branch before Promote, and a Claude chat in a worktree reads the main checkout’s project settings, as Claude Desktop does.
- **Codex Goals and Fork, Copilot agents.** Codex chats show their saved Goal above the composer with a clearer editor, and completed responses offer Fork from here. Copilot chats can pick one of the provider’s custom agents.
- **Waiting chats are marked.** A tab, a sidebar row and the agent’s badge mark a chat that waits on a question, after a reload too, and a child agent’s question counts. Long Bash panels cap their height and scroll inside.
- **Send mode per chat.** The chevron beside the send button sets the mode for that chat, on this device; Settings keeps the default for every chat.
- **Thoughts stay open in a box of ten lines.**
- **Connection and reload fixes.** A steer cut off by a dropped connection is not run again; a relay connection that dies silently is reconnected; a failed status check no longer marks a running turn Timed out; a Codex agent that crashes mid-turn is reported as stopped, with Send again, instead of as a provider error; a chat revealed from its saved copy stays on screen after a reload; a chat switched between accounts shows its account and its models in a tab opened before the switch; a restored never-sent chat reads Start a new chat; and a device no longer stalls while it reads long Claude Code transcripts.
- **Installer and menu fixes.** Windows Setup no longer stops on an older updater task it cannot read, and the updater repairs its checkout and says why a pull failed. On macOS, uninstall and update wait for the running bridge to exit, and a bridge running outside its service counts as a running install. The menu bar app’s Add an account window no longer sticks on Getting a connection code.
- **Small fixes.** A short prompt’s footer shows its whole time; Settings chevrons stay visible on the web; Add a device sits beside DEVICES in the sidebar; an agent’s settings page opens on Identity with one Back link; the chats page forgets a device you removed; and renaming or archiving a chat re-reads only its own device’s chats.
- **The Mac package installs first, then connects.** A Helmora package downloaded without signing in now finishes installing, and the menu bar app opens the Connect window with a code and a QR; before, the code went only to a log file. A package installed over a running Helmora now restarts it reliably; before, that restart could fail quietly and Helmora stayed stopped until the next login.
